Visit to England

I was in England for about 2 weeks recently. It was nice to walk around Southhall though it was raining all the time. Plenty of Indians there... it was just like I have stepped onto a street in Jalandhar ... The difference being that I saw lots of older Sikhs with turbans -in Jalandhar you don't see SIKHS with TURBANS. Jalandhar has become a melting pot of UP bhaiyas, Biharis, muslims, Punjabis - no turbans in sight! Traffic is choatic and gets bottled at the major intersections.. Dusty, polluted and dirty city now ......... WHAT A SHAME . I also visited the newest Gurdwara in Southhall.

Visited a friend in Birmingham.. she took me to SoHo road. Went to the Gurdwara there.. liked it a lot. I saw quite a few elderly men and women there - it seems they walk to the Gurdwara.
I did not do any shopping in England. I thought everything was expensive.

Drove around small villages - loved it!

Took a day trip to Venice - flew from Stansted - roundtrip costed me 60 pounds! I am planning on doing these kinds of day trips to other european countries when I visit England again.
